Welcome to my website. Thank you for taking the time to check out my work.

Walking has become a part of my art practice over the last six years. I am interested in using walking as a research tool and exploring its connections with the creative process. In particular making connections between weaving, walking and storytelling.

#ThreadandWord is a performative walking practice led by myself in collaboration with invited artists, academics and community groups. These walks develop through chosen events and extend a walking practice through performative engagement which responds to a chosen event with artists, community groups and the landscape. The process in creating the walk can take a number of months to develop and new ideas and encounters emerge along the way.

I continue to draw and paint connecting my walking and drawing through repetetive drawings of the same place.

I am enjoying the process and grateful to all those artists and friends who walk, talk and collaborate with me.

If you want more detail about the walks and how these develop with connections and ideas as these emerge from the process, please visit my blog and my facebook page Thread and Word.
